“Roxas are you finished?” Demyx asked as he walked towards Roxas.
“Yes. I’m done.”
“Good, cause I need your help.”
Roxas looked at him in questioning.
“We got the vault open and we need help with bringing all the money down to the car.”
Roxas shook his head and started to run up the escalators with Demyx in front, leading the way.
“Here, grab these and bring them down to the car.” Demyx handed two large bags that were almost as big as Roxas. Roxas slightly fell once he felt the real weight of the bags but he decided to not make it a big deal. He grabbed them with strong hands and started to run down to the car.
“Roxas . . .?” Roxas turned to look on the 1st floor for the person who said his name.
Axel appeared out of the darkness and into the moon light.
“You’ve changed, truly, greatly, changed. . .”
Roxas looked up to Axel and then looked down, he knew his words were true. He’s known he’s changed, and not for the better.
“I’ve changed because I had too. . .”
“No, you didn’t have too. . .you didn’t have to do anything but you ran away. You ran away like I ran away and you made the same bad decisions. Roxas please, if you truly want things to go back to normal, drop the bags, and come with me, we can leave, we can-“
“Run away?” Roxas finished his sentence and thought for a moment, if he dropped his bags, he would be a traitor and forever be on the bad side of the organization. If he didn’t he’d stay on the good side of the organization, but he would lose Axel, he knew he would lose Axel for sure. Was he truly willing to lose Axel, the best thing that’s happen to him, because of an organization?
Roxas sighed and felt someone’s hand on his shoulder. He turned to find it was Demyx, and behind Demyx stood Xigabar.
“Roxas, don’t listen to him. He’ll betray you just like your parents did.”
Roxas turned to look at the ground.
’No he wouldn’t betray me, he-he loved me. . .’
“Roxas don’t listen to them, please, I will never put you through pain.”
“Don’t listen he’s lying.” Demyx whispered in his ear.
“We’ll take care of you Roxas. . .We’ll make you happy.”
Roxas couldn’t take this anymore, he wanted out, he wanted out of everything, to start over with a clean slate.
Roxas dropped the bags and started to do the thing he knew best, run. Run until no one could find him, run until he felt that no one could pull him back in.
“Roxas wait!” Axel yelled as Roxas ran out the door.
Roxas ran through the front exit and found that he should have stayed put, he should have run upstairs, he should have done something other than coming out this exit.
Surrounding him with guns and lights, Roxas covered his eyes with his arm as he tried to look up to see who exactly was the one in charge of all these people.
“Put your hands up! You are under arrest!”
Roxas started to feel his heart pound through his entire body.
“Roxas!” Roxas turned to look at Axel as he ran out into the open as well.
“Axel stay back!” Roxas demanded as Axel was coming closer and closer.
“No!” Axel ran to Roxas’ side and stood in front of him, protecting him with his body, or maybe even life if he had too.
“Spark?” Axel placed his hand up over his eyes to try and see who stood beyond the lights.
A man in a suit stepped forward out of the crowd and held a megaphone up to his mouth.
“Lights off except sector A-1”
Right then all the lights turned off except three that let them view each other.
“General. . .” Axel whispered. The general was a fairly tall man, about 6’1 and was muscular. Roxas watched as he started to pace around Axel and Roxas as if a predator circling its’ prey. Roxas looked up to his eyes and found emptiness, like nothing had ever touched him in a good way, that no satisfaction had ever been given to him. Roxas felt the mans’ intense gaze fall upon him before the he stopped and averted his gaze to Axel.
“Up to your usual bad self?” Roxas watched the man Axel called ‘general’ and noticed that he looked like a police chief.
“So Spark any new tricks?”
Axel smirked, “You know it!” Axel all of a sudden had his chakrams in his hands and Roxas could all of a sudden feel a rising heat.
“Get back!” Axel pushed Roxas slightly back, making sure that Roxas was a good 8 feet away from him.
“Come on Sparks, don’t be that way, why do you always have to start up something?”
Axel grunted and wondered if he truly should use his power, was it the right time? And most of all what would Roxas do when he saw it?
“Stop hesitating!” the General yelled.
Axel looked around to the plethora of men that held guns, all aiming at him and Roxas. A million thoughts rushed through his head, should he really continue this or leave it where it was? Should he run away again?
“Come on Spark! Where is that old flame you had?” Axel gritted his teeth at the General’s words.
Axel knew when he got mad he could barely control it and when he really got mad he lost all control letting his will power go and let it disappear with the flames.
“Come on, what happened to that boy that could do anything!? What happened to you!? You run out of gasoline!? I miss you’re ember!” the General yelled.
Axel couldn’t take it anymore. “HOW FLATTERING!” Axel yelled as he let his control go, his hold on his powers were set free and he felt the rush of his flames embrace him.
Roxas watched in amazement as walls of fire came up immediately separating Axel, the General and him from the rest of the world around.
“I’M SURE YOU REMEMER THIS!” Axel yelled as he grabbed his chakrams and started to sway back and forth with a giant smirk on his face.
“Spark, Spark, Spark . . .” the General said in a mocking tone.
“You cannot harm me. Remember last time?”
Axels’ wide grin faded and slowly it turned into a face of fear.
“Axel . . .” Roxas whispered too low for Axel to hear and found that Roxas was slightly frightened on Axel, but at the same time once Roxas saw that weak face that Axel had never displayed before Roxas wanted to go over to him and comfort him.
“Remember?!”
Axel stood frozen with fear. Memories were rushed back to him and he didn’t know what to do, he-he was actually, and finally, once again, afraid.

“Father!” Axel rushed to his father and giggled joyfully as he carried the paper flower he made.
Axel ran up to his father and stopped as he met his father in the hallway.
“What have you got there Spark?”
Axel smiled and showed his father the flower.
“That’s very good Axel!” his father complimented him as he patted Axels’ head.
Axel smiled and watched as his father walked around him and continued on his way down the hall.

‘I always wanted to please you  . . .’

“We made a horrible, wretched . . .s-son!” his father said as he slightly slurred his words.
Axel stood shocked in the doorway as he watched his father scorn him with his words.
“I can’t believe we created something like that!” Axel looked over to his mother and watched as she cringed in fear of her husband. Axel could feel tears swell up in his eyes and his lip started to quiver. Axel slowly opened the door trying to be unheard but the door squeaked because of an oiling problem.
Axel gasped in fear as his father turned to him and started to walk towards him. Axel stumbled back as his father got closer but his father grabbed his hair, pulling him back into the room. His father closed the door with his foot and then threw Axel on the floor.
Axel felt tears stream out of his eyes. “Father?” Axel asked in a scared voice.
“You stupid boy!” his father yelled.
Axel looked down to the ground and didn’t dare to look up, his father was too intimidating and especially for a young child.
Axels’ father walked up to him and slapped him across the face.
“You stupid boy! You’re a disgrace to this family!” he yelled as he hit Axel repeatedly over and over again.
“Stop it!” his mother yelled but she couldn’t help, no one could, it was his fight and no one could save him.

“I love that face when you get scared.” The General said as he stopped circling Roxas and Axel and looked Axel square in the eyes.
Axel took a step back and found himself feeling all those emotions that happened that night.
“So how’s your mother?” he asked.
“That’s none of your business!” Axel said, slightly trembling with his words.
Roxas turned to look at the General, he had no idea what was going on and how did this General know so much about Axel?
“You were never good to mother!” Axel yelled.
“Yes I was. . .” The General spoke with no hint of fear.
“No!”
The General turned to look at the walls of fire that surrounded them and then back to Axel.
“You perfected it.” He commented.
“I had to, to go against people like you. Father . . .”
Roxas went into shock, how could this man be his father!? They looked nothing alike and acted differently, he didn’t see any similarity. This was just too weird for Roxas, but he found courage because Axel was losing his, it seemed that in about a second Axels’ cocky attitude turned into mush. It was gone and replaced with fear.
“Hmm . . . noble I guess you can call it.”
Axel took another step back, he didn’t want to get hurt by his father. Even though Axel had his powers he knew he could never really use it on his father because in actual reality whenever Axel looked at his father he still felt like that child that was beaten almost every week by his abusive parent.
“A-Axel? What’s going on?” Roxas asked in a scared voice.
Axel turned to find Roxas behind him and a little shaken, Roxas trembled slightly and was trying to hide his fear but Axel knew him too well.
“Roxas . . .”
“So is that your boyfriend?” Axel turned to look at his father and felt disgust. He knew his father and him had a lot of things to deal with but Roxas should have never heard anything, he should have stayed out of it.
“Roxas . . . I’m going to take care of this.”
“No! You’ll get hurt!” Roxas wrapped his arms around Axel and tried to beg him. Roxas wasn’t dumb Axel would never have the courage to hurt his father, Axel was badly hurt as a child and he’s going to stay badly hurt as a teen, adult, and elder, the fear will never leave Axel.
*click*
Axel and Roxas looked over to the General and found that he had a gun in his hand. Immediately Axel pushed Roxas off and placed him to the side, knowing that if someone was going to be shot it was going to be him, not Roxas.
“You got to the count of three to give up.” his father said.
Axel shook his head no.
“Fine! Three!” his father shot off the revolver and a bullet was spit from the gun being thrown out at Axel. Axel watched everything as if it was in slow motion, this was the end or maybe-
‘NO! NO!’ Axel screamed in his head as he saw Roxas run in front of him.
The bullet hit Roxas in the chest and Axel grabbed him as he fell. Blood trickled down Roxas as Axel cradled him and cried. This wasn’t supposed to happen! None of this! Axel cursed for ever letting Roxas out of his sight ever since the first moment he lost him he knew this was a mistake, he knew everything was wrong.
“ROXAS! GOD DAMMIT DON’T YOU DO THIS TO ME!” Axel said as he held Roxas close to him in a tight embrace.
“I-I’m sorry Axel. . .” Roxas whispered as he felt the blood started to come up out of his throat.
“WHY’D YOU DO THAT!? WHY!?”
“B-Because. . .If I was. . .in the same. . .situation. . .y-you would have. . .done the same.” Roxas muttered.
Axel felt tears stream down his face, what was he supposed to do!? Roxas was dying and his father-
He looked up and found that his father was nowhere to be seen.
Axel felt bitter anger rise up in him and at that moment wanted all the revenge in the world.
“A-Axel. . .d-don’t cry.” Roxas said as he reached up to Axels’ face and slowly wiped the tears from his eyes.
“Roxas. . .please. . .”
Axel closed his eyes and enjoyed the touch of Roxas but then he felt nothing, Axel opened his eyes and found that Roxas wasn’t moving, his chest wasn’t moving from his breathing and his arms and legs lie dangled.
“Roxas!? Roxas!?” Axel shook him.
“Roxas please!”

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!” Axel jumped up from his bed and felt sweat roll down his face.
Axel brought up his hands and found them to be shaking. He grabbed his head and took deep breathes.
‘It was just a dream?’ Axel quickly looked up and heard his mother on the other side of his wooden door.
“Axel is everything alright?”
“Y-Yeah, mom.” Axel waited until his mother left and her footsteps faded away.
He jumped out of his bed and looked over at his desk. There was no pictures of Roxas and him, there was nothing. . .no trace of Roxas anywhere.
Axel ran downstairs and up to his mom. “Hey what happened to all the things about me and Roxas?!”
“Who’s Roxas?” his mother asked with slight worry that her son was lost in a dream.
“but-But. . .” Axel ran upstairs and up to the see the calander. It-It was. . .
Axel took a step back and sat on his bed, ‘It-It felt so real!’
Axel could still feel his hands shaking and his body in shock but he knew he had to pull it together because everything that happened. . .it was all just a dream.
“Axel get dressed for school!” his mother yelled from downstairs.
Axel grunted and walked over to his closet, today was going to be a long day.

“Hey Axel!” people waved to him as he walked through the hallways of his school. Axel sighed and walked over to his locker. He was placing some books away but felt his pants pocket start to vibrate. He picked it up and said in a monotone voice, “Hello?”
“Hey Axel!” Axel sighed when he found out it was Demyx.
“Hey I just wanted to call that were planning on a ‘mission’ tonight.”
“No.” Axel said.
“What?”
To Axels’ surprise that dream took a real toll on him.
“I’m out, I want nothing to do with you and your organization.” Axel hit the end button on his phone before Demyx cold object and for once in his life, Axel felt accomplished.

Axel made his way over to the cafeteria and started to look for a place to seat but a certain blondie ran into him. Axel was first a little furious because his lunch was ruined but once he saw who the blonde haired one was he thought his heart stopped. It-It was Roxas.
Roxas looked up to Axel and looked into his eyes as if he were trying to read something.
“I’m really sorry.” Roxas apologized while trying to clean up the mess on the floor.
“Oh it’s nothing.” Axel told him with a smile.
Axel noticed how Roxas looked up to him and how he was going over Axel, trying to see and take in all of what Axel was.
Axel always knew he was taking notice but he then didn’t show that he took notice until at the end.
“Do I have something on my face?” Axel asked.
Roxas shook his head ‘no’ and looked down.
“Hey don’t be glum about it. Its fine, the food here is crap anyway.” Axel smirked and wrapped his arm around Roxas’ shoulders and started to lead him over to a table. Axel knew that his dream right then, that his dream last night was no oridinary dream, it was as if it was a dream that would tell Axel everything about the future and it slightly scared him but he knew that he would do everything in his power to keep Roxas from harm, because he wasn’t going to let his life end the same way his dream did.
Axel smirked at him again and said, “My names Axel.”
Roxas smiled, “My n-names Roxas.”
“Roxas, cute name.”
Axel smirked and found Roxas to be blushing, he felt intrigued and he knew this was for real this time, no dream.

Axel smiled and looked down to the blonde,
‘I wonder if he’ll ever know. . .that he saved me. . .’
